Many schools are implementing BYOD or 1-to-1 programs to provide more choice for educators and learners. How do you support Diverse Learners on ALL devices? By using free and low cost (high quality) Apps, built-in tools, and AT solutions that focus on ensuring success for learners who may struggle with literacy, math, executive function, and sensory or physical needs. These AT solutions support personalizing education, as well as engaging and including all students in a UDL environment (K-12 and higher ed). Learn about built-in accessibility features, free and low cost apps, extensions, and web resources to support your students in accessing textbooks and learning materials (handouts/worksheets/ presentations/ labs/data collection), note taking, research, and study skills, time management, schedules, reminders, and more. These solutions support all students, including those with with LD, Dyslexia, physical disabilities, low vision or blindness, or difficulties with executive functioning, AT makes UDL Possible! This workshop focuses on the iPad accessibility features and apps as well as Google options for laptops, Chromebooks, and web tools for all devices. This workshop is offered in both MITI (a device is included in the workshop fee) and BYOD (bring your own device per the requirements listed) formats. The specific device(s) selected and exact price will be posted on the conference website in early October - www.nhcmtc.org.
