I am the Director of Technology for Hampton School District SAU 90. I have been in educational Technology for over 20 years working in state of the art schools and now a cutting edge district. In Hampton, we are one to one with every student district wide. As a K-8 district with over 1100 students we are doing some unique things. Our district has access to 3-D printing, Robotics, STEM maker spaces such as Little Bits, Projectors and or IWB's in every classroom and so much more. Technology in Hampton is a tool to better help teachers teach and students learn and is not the curriculum but instead a tool help support teachers teaching to the curriculum. Every teacher and Para Professional also has a mobile device such as a laptop or Chromebook. We are now looking at how best to use these tools getting teachers trained and giving them the support to best reach the needs of every student in our classrooms.
